The
Spa at Crocodile Bay Feature Article: Selva
de Osa Mud Mask
The
curative and cosmetic properties of natural clays have been
used for centuries by cultures to clean skin of surface
oils and impurities. An organic clay, extracted from ancient
deposits located in the rainforest and jungle (selva) on
the Osa Peninsula of Costa Rica, is the main ingredient
in one of spa’s most popular facial treatments, The
Selva de Osa Mud Mask.

An application of apricot cleansing cream is the first step
in the smooth exfoliation of this relaxing experience. A
refreshing hydrating mask follows that increases circulation
to sore and tired facial muscles. Once the mask is removed,
re-hydration follows using various lotions designed to leave
your skin feeling invigorated, soft and smooth.
Testimonial
As a lifelong resident of a tropical rainforest, the sun,
sea, flora and fauna have all been a part of my daily routine.
It was only at The Spa at Crocodile Bay did I experience,
for the first time, the extraordinary restorative benefits
products from this diverse area possess for one’s
skin. I am forever grateful to Justa, one of the spa therapists,
for introducing me to this treatment.
You
are invited to visit us and enjoy the elements of nature
that Costa Rica has to offer.
